COLORSKID is I-Tech’s manual dispensing system for inks, paints, or varnishes that allows you to create any type of colored product with extreme precision and speed. It features its own scale and is available in a desktop or portable (trolley) version. Developed entirely in-house by I-Tech in a Microsoft Framework environment with Visual Basic .net, the PROCOLOR software offers an intuitive, easy-to-use multilingual interface. The MS® SQL Server® search engine uses a latest-generation relational database and can be installed either on the machine’s management PC or integrated as a client on the customer’s corporate server.
It is the ideal system for small plant operations; it can handle both water-based and solvent-based products, and its software, combined with a high-resolution scale, offers a clean and easy-to-use system.
COLORSKID requires minimal input: the screen prompts the operator to select the desired job number or formula and batch size. The scaled tare is automatically set by the computer, and the software displays the required weight of each component within the formula. The active window displays the actual weight of the component as it is manually dosed. The software alerts the operator if the weight accidentally exceeds the programmed tolerance. If this occurs, the operator can request a re-dosing to compensate for the error. A weighing summary sheet is printed for each batch, showing the exact batch information. The user can view or print various reports, including formulas dispensed, labor costs, production history, inventory availability, etc. Production traceability is simplified with the use of a barcode system.
